Rework & Reopen Intelligence for Jira

Read-only operational intelligence for identifying Jira issues that return from completed states to active work.

What it does

The app reviews recent Jira issues and their status-change history, identifies transitions from completed states such as Done, Resolved, Closed, Complete, or Completed back to active states, and ranks the resulting findings by recurrence.

Typical workflow

  1. Install the app on Jira Cloud.
  2. Open Rework & Reopen Intelligence for Jira.
  3. Run the analysis using the default 90-day window or an optional JQL filter.
  4. Review reopened issues, rework counts, projects, current status, and severity.
  5. Use findings for quality, delivery, process, or retrospective review.

Permissions

The app requests only read:jira-work. Jira calls use the current user's permissions through Forge asUser(). The app never edits Jira data.

Data handling

The app runs on Atlassian Forge, has no Forge Remote, no external backend, no configured data egress, and no persistent customer-content storage in the current release.

Limits

Results depend on available Jira history, issue permissions, workflow naming, and the selected query. A finding indicates a status reversal suitable for review; it does not by itself establish root cause.
